We have owned Jasmine Cottage since the mid 90’s and have always thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We love sharing our home with our guests, many of whom return year after year and some several times a year. Kirkby Lonsdale is a very special place to many people, and offers so much right on the door step. The numerous cafes, pubs, restaurants and bars give you lots of opportunity to relax and enjoy your break. Equally if you like to cater at home we have equipped the cottage to make this a simple and enjoyable experience. Local shops and Booths supermarket give you all the ingredients that you could need and have some individual ideas if you want to try something different. We thoroughly enjoy browsing the local and mainly independent shops, offering a variety of lovely items. The walking possibilities are suitable for all levels of ability, some directly from the door and many within an easy car ride exploring the Lake District and wider Cumbria, Dales and Solway coastline to mention just a few. Whilst mentioning cars, the cottage has it’s own private parking space – very important in Kirkby!

Our aim when writing this blog will be to give you a taste of staying at Jasmine Cottage and exploring the local area so that you can get some ideas of things to do whilst you are staying or thinking of staying in this special place.
